A Riviera legend
Saint-Tropez: legends, the sea and the taste of Provence
Sainte-Maxime • Port Grimaud • Gassin • Saint-Tropez • winery
We set off on a grand journey to Saint-Tropez, where the azure sea meets golden beaches, old Provençal villages neighbour magnificent yachts, and stories of artists and film stars have become part of the French Riviera legend.

The road becomes part of the experience as we follow the scenic coast, pausing at panoramic viewpoints over the Mediterranean. Our first short stop is Sainte-Maxime, for coffee, a walk by the sea and a gentle introduction to the rhythm of southern France.
Port Grimaud — the French Venice
We continue by water: if you wish, a small boat takes us to Port Grimaud in about 20 minutes. This remarkable town of canals, bridges, colourful houses and boats is often called the French Venice. The crossing costs approximately €6 per person.
Next comes Gassin, an enchanting medieval village above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Stone lanes, flower-filled houses and breathtaking panoramas invite us to linger, explore or enjoy lunch in a welcoming Provençal restaurant.

Saint-Tropez — cinema, art and Riviera legends
Then comes legendary Saint-Tropez. We stroll through the old port and historic centre, discover its celebrated landmarks and hear how a small fishing village became a symbol of the Côte d’Azur art of living.
Cinema, fashion and art meet here: Brigitte Bardot and the golden age of French film, the gendarmes of Saint-Tropez, artists, writers, celebrities and the international society that has gathered here for decades.
If you wish, visit the Museum of the Gendarmerie and Cinema or climb to the old Citadel. Its maritime history museum and ramparts offer magnificent views over the town, gulf and Mediterranean.
We naturally leave time for beautiful photo stops and a Saint-Tropez photoshoot among colourful façades, the old harbour, yachts and Riviera scenery.

Provence wine at sunset
We end the day beautifully at a Provençal winery, discovering local wines and tasting the region’s delicate rosés, fresh whites and full-bodied reds. Tastings start at approximately €5 per person.
After a rich day, we return along the French Riviera.

Saint-Tropez is more than a resort. It is a story of the sea, freedom, cinema, art and the French gift for enjoying life.
This journey is ideal for families with children, couples, groups of friends and everyone wishing to combine beautiful leisure, history and culture, the sea, gastronomy and the true spirit of Provence.
