We begin in enchanting Menton, France’s sunniest town, where French elegance meets an Italian spirit. The colourful Old Town, sea, gardens and narrow lanes create a character all their own.
We then climb to medieval Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and its historic castle above the coast. Magnificent views open over the Mediterranean and the French Riviera. Castle admission is approximately €5 per person.
The road continues along one of the coast’s most beautiful stretches towards Cap Ferrat, the legendary peninsula of discreet villas and exceptional seascapes.
The day’s centrepiece is Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Its Belle Époque pink palace, art collections and celebrated themed gardens evoke the aristocratic Riviera. Admission is approximately €18 per person.
Our journey concludes in romantic Villefranche-sur-Mer, with its old citadel, colourful houses, maze of lanes and one of the Côte d’Azur’s loveliest bays.
